Claire's Newborn Pics

Having Claire has been quite an adventure. Like everyone says, I never thought I could love someone so much. She's been an absolute joy (when she's not crying) and even though I've become extremely sleep deprived, I wouldn't change a thing.

Even though I spent years babysitting as a teenager, I'm learning new things everyday and after 2 weeks, I now understand why it takes mothers so long to get anything done. Today it took me 4 hours to pay bills and getting ready now takes all day. Nap 1 - shower. Nap 2 - put clothes on. Nap 3 - well, you get the idea. I'm hoping as Claire gets on a schedule and decides to sleep more than an hour here and there, that I can become more efficient. I did manage to figure out how to nurse and reconcile bank statements simultaneously today. :-)

Last week I FINALLY got around to taking some newborn pictures of Claire so I'm going to put off blogging about her birth until later. One thing I will mention is...can you believe all of her hair?! Here are my favorites- ENJOY!

she is darling!
Sounds like you're doing great with the first-time-mother issues. It is hard, hang in there! Maybe you already do this, but my kids always slept a ton better when they were swaddled and warm. My mom always joked that I made my kids a nest in their bouncer chair, haha. Another thing to try would be to switch up where/what she's sleeping in. Just some ideas. I'm still up with Will twice a night, so I'm feelin' for ya.

I just can't say enough how cute those pictures are. Also, you are very good at multitasking, so if anyone can get the hang of it, you will:) Hopefully she will be like Ashlyn and Blake and in 5-6 weeks you'll both be sleeping through the night. And I pray she isn't like Avery or you'll be awake all night for the next 50 weeks or so:)

Oh my goodness!!! She is so ADORABLE! I can't believe all that hair. I can't wait to meet her in person. I will have to ask you for advice, because by the time I have mine you will be a pro :)

Oh my gosh you guys did GOOD!!!! She's so so pretty. And it's SO EXHAUSTING in the beginning... your schedule sounds even better than mine was lol. I think I just did the shower thing for the first 3 weeks- no getting dressed. :)

And nursing while doing bank statements?! I'm impressed. Nice work momma!! :)

I think Claire's grandparents are as proud as her parents are. She is so precious, even when she cries. I'm very glad you live nearby so I can hold her just about anytime I want. I love how the pictures turned out. I make a good assistant, right?
