Catching up with Claire - October

Claire's favorite thing to do this month? Take selfies. :) Any chance she had, she'd take my camera and snap pictures of herself and any random thing she could find. It always makes me laugh when I discover these images on my camera days later. Her facial expressions are hilarious and I wish I knew her thought process behind what she chose to take pictures of.

 

Her other favorite thing to do is put makeup on. She's surprisingly very good at putting lipstick on and almost always stays in the lines. I had to implement a new rule that she could only wear my lip gloss at home, because she would always want to put it on before we left the house.

Our sweet little girl was thriving in preschool and loved going every week. She was getting very good at writing her name and loved to show off her new skill. The only downside of preschool days were that she would often come home very cranky. Three hours of stimulation and learning would leave her exhausted and moody every day after school. At the beginning of the school year I did my best to pry information out of her on our drives home, but quickly realized nothing good came of it. Her crankiness would transfer over to me and then both of us were unhappy campers. The best solution was to let her sit in silence until we got home and her mood would slightly improve.

I love taking pictures of the kids sleeping, because they are always so innocent and peaceful. Those words usually don't describe them during the day, so I love peeking in on them at night. Our perfect little Ethan boy is the obvious one for me to take sleeping pictures of, because who doesn't love to look at a sleeping baby? That being said, I try not to leave Claire out and often sneak into her room to catch a glimpse. So precious!
