all mY mEmorieS cLosing theiR doOrs
UnfortuNately, the bEst scrapbOok store arouNd is closinG on April 30th. I coulDn’t belieVe it when my Mom tolD me. SeE below foR some inforMation on wHat happened.
"All My Memories…did lose their lease. The leasing company claims they have others that will lease the building for a significantly higher amount. (I know what these guys pay per month, and I think it is totally ridiculous...and the leasing company wants to raise the cost again and make the owner sign a 5 year lease.) The costs associated with moving the store are also high, and therefore, the owner decided to do what was best for her and her family. The store will be open until the last day in April, and everyone there is hoping someone will want to purchase the store before then. There are some things in the works in order for the teachers to continue to offer their classes even after the store closes."

tHe drEadfuL checK enGine ligHt
Erik and I haVe been drivinG our tRusty beige camry for yeaRs. It is 10 years old aNd has been a very reliaBle car. UnfortunaTely, the dreAdful check enGine light is on aNd has been for a couPle of mOnths.
We aren't tHe type to go foR regular oil chanGes, tire rotaTions, etc. and so we've doNe none other than....yEs....ignoRe it. It lights up everytiMe i turn on the cAr, but I tell mySelf it will gO off one of tHese days. I should proBably give in and taKe it to a sHop but I dO not want to sEe their rePair estimate.

taGgeD
I’ve beEn tagged 5 tiMes now so I gUess I better sit doWn and get it oVer with. Here it gOes:
10 yeArs ago I waS...
In the 9th graDe anxiously awAiting the move tO high school. I still rEmember when I fiRst went into juNior high. My siSter, Erika, dRew me a maP of the hallwaYs so that I wOuldn’t get lost. I wAs so scared that I wouldn’T know my wAy around and thaT no one Would like me. EverY morning when my Mom would droP me off at scHool, I would prAy that one of my friEnds would be there sO I wouldn’t have to stAnd by my locKer alonE.
5 things on my to-do list
1. FinaLly sit down and wRite this so I can dElete the emails froM my inbox which haVe been hauntiNg me for mOnths.
2. TakE my puPpy to the veT for her neXt set of sHots.
3. Clean our toileTs: We live iN a 2-bedroOm townhoUse but hAve 4 freaKin’ toileTs!
4. Practice ‘siT’, ‘staY’, and ‘comE’ with Khloe. HaVing a puppy is suCh good pracTice for a baby. Even thoUgh she’s just a little doG I get stressed Out that she’s not going to bE well behaved wheN she gets older and tHat I’m a horrible paRent.
5. RelaX! ThanKgoodness it'S finaLly the weEkend.
What snacks do I enjoy?
LatelY, I’ve been trying tO curb my appetite befOre lunch so I bought sOme “Smart Pop Kettle Corn”. It’s preTty good but I realizeD the other day, that the loWer calories mean nothiNg when I compleTely finish the ENTIRE baG. I think thaT’s a little moRe than ONE servIng.
What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
1. Buy a maNsion and get a hoUsekeeper to cleaN it
2. Go to AustraLia and New Zealand with my huBby
3. Purchase hoMes for oUr siblings (I’d make sure theY weren’t toO extravagAnt so they could still afforD the taxes) and pAy for their childrEn’s future coLlege tuitioN
4. SeNd my parents on a lonG sailing trip to a deStination of their choiCe
5. Buy Erik’s Dad a coUntry club membership (he’s been talKing about getTing one for like 10 yearS now) and for his Mom I woulD knock down the kitcHen wall and redecoraTe the house (she has arGued with Harald foreVer about doing these tHings)
6. Get a new car – the 10 year old Camry is still holding along even with the engine light on
7. INVEST, INVEST, and INVEST – so that I would nEver be anything lesS than a billionaiRe

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I have put together a slide show displaying some of my favorite memories over the past 5 years with Erik. Being married to Erik has been such a blessing and brought me so much happiness over the years. I love him so much and look forward to spending eternity with such an amazing companion. Snow-Shoeing in American Fork Canyon
Last weekend we went snow-shoeing with our friends Cooper and Mercedes. Cooper's sister and nephew (Zach) also came along for the ride. Zach loved Khloe! He couldn't get enough of her. We hiked up American Fork canyon and it was beautiful! We put Khloe in one of our camel-backs and she actually stayed there without any problems. Cooper also brought his new puppy; a 4 month old black lab named Diesel. Quite the difference in dogs I must say, but both of them had fun....they told me. Enjoy the pictures!

No Barking Khloe!
This is how we are training Khloe not to bark. Just kidding. Isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen?
Last weekend we were hanging out at the Pearson's house just talking and playing Cranium. All of a sudden, Khloe ran out from underneath their ottoman with Ty's pacifier in her mouth. We couldn't stop laughing. It didn't stay in her mouth long so we had to put it back in ourselves to get a few pictures. Sorry Celeste - I'll buy you a new one soon.

"United" to Charge for 2nd Bag - Blasphemy!
"United Airlines will start charging domestic passengers $25 to check in a second piece of luggage if they are not part of its most-frequent-flier programs."
I can't believe this! Has the airline industry ever heard of good customer service? I hope I never have to fly United when taking a long vacation because I always take advantage of the 2-bags, 50 pound limit policy.
Next Time I'm Sticking With My Gut
I can't believe it! My original Super Bowl prediction was RIGHT!!! Some
of you may have noticed that I posted my original prediction of Giants 17 - Patriots 14 on Thursday afternoon. After a few comments by Erik and his friends saying there was no way the Patriots were only going to score 14 points, I decided to change my prediction to Giants 31 - Patriots 21 on Friday. My original prediction ended up being the exact score of Super Bowl XLII. Yesterday's game was a blast to watch, especially since it ended in the Giants favor. Next year, I'm sticking with my gut instinct (even though it'll probably be wrong).
