Food, Fun, & Family

Once we finished opening presents at home, we rushed over to the Olafsson's for a mid-morning brunch. All of Erik's family was there, as were my parents. It's always nice when we can get together, especially during the holidays.

The food was delicious and the company was pleasant as always. With all seven kids there, the house was quite lively, but you can't get much better than the sound of their laughter.





Shortly after we ate, the extended family left and it was time to open presents from the Olafsson side. It was very entertaining watching the kids rip through the wrapping paper as fast as they could so they could see what was inside. We tried our best to make them take turns, but before long, it became a free for all.

Claire was most excited to see her new Dora the Explorer backpack and umbrella, as well as fancy dress up shoes that lit up. Ethan also get some wonderful toys, but didn't quite understand what was going on. He loved all of the commotion around him though.



We eventually got through all of the presents and took the kids home to nap. We were all exhausted and only half of the day was over. After nap time, we went over to my parents house.
